Lamorna Kennels is a husband and wife team - Vince and Shirley Cross.

We have been involved in the world of dog showing for over 19 years, starting out with Yorkshire Terriers, and then devoting many years to Border Collies.

Due to health reasons, we decided to look into small dogs to show, as the Border Collies were quite demanding.

We introduced the English Springer Spaniel to our kennel and Vince started showing the Springer with enough success to be hooked - and hence we now have English Springer Spaniels.

Shirley still wanted something smaller to show, and the Gundog ring had caught our eye, and we acquired our first Cocker Spaniel (Lovlang Superstition).  We have now been avid Gundog owners and breeders for over eight years, and there is no turning back for us now.

Lovlang Superstition (Paige) became the foundation of our Cocker lines, and produced our first Cocker Spaniel Champion - our pride and joy,  Ch Lamorna The Charmed One (Harmony).  Not only did she get her title at just fourteen months of age, but she is also a great winner in the show ring, with multi Reserve CC's at Specialty level to her credit, and 2 runner up in show specialty level (1 open specialty & 1 champ specialty)  amongst many Best of Breed and In Group awards along the way.

We have also put some good wins on several others who didn't end up as Champions, but certainly have made us proud ! Plus we campaigned and titled Ch Kokleone Krossbow, and enjoyed several nice wins with him, including Best Exhibit in Group.

Now almost ten years on, we feel we have a good eye for the breed - and we are constantly looking to improve our breeding and show stock, and have several exciting litters planned for the coming years.  We are grateful to those true friends who have helped and encouraged us over the years with our foray into Gundogs, and we look forward to the future with great anticipation.  We hope that you enjoy our website, and if you are interested in a Cocker Spaniel, German Spitz or Fox Terrier (smooth). - please contact us.
